Posted by admin with No Comments

Don’t call it a comeback! Former teen idol Aaron Carter will be taking Cafe 210 West by storm on Wednesday, April 24th. Tickets are on sale at Cafe for $20 for the 21+ crowd.

In case you forgot, Aaron Carter (younger brother of Backstreet Boys’ Nick Carter) hit the music scene back in 2001 with hits like “Aaron’s Party,” “I Want Candy,” and “That’s How I Beat Shaq” which gained endless airplay on Nickelodeon, Disney, and every Top 40 radio station.

Now 25 years old, Aaron Carter is still doing his thing, singing and dancing to his hit songs from four studio albums. He may not be the same little boy that he once was, but at least now all you ladies can buy him drinks from the bar. [Source]

Aaron Carter announces After Party Tour

Posted by admin with No Comments

It would appear that after 11 years since his last album, Aaron Carter is still partying. So much so that he’s taking the after party on tour.

“I’m Happy to Announce That I Will Be Going on My long Overdue Tour TheAfterPartyTour! Stay Tuned For More Dates That Will Be Added Soon. Here we go!” the 25-year-old child pop star posted on his Facebook page Monday.

If you’re keeping count, that’s four ’90s hit-makers (we may be using that descriptor loosely) – Justin Timberlake, the Backstreet Boys and Destiny’s Child included – making headlines this year. Is it too early to rename 2013 the return of the ’90s?

Carter, younger brother to the Backstreet Boys’ Nick Carter, is best known for his 2000 album Aaron’s Party (Come Get It), which was popular with the Disney Channel/Nickelodeon crowd thanks to singles “How I Beat Shaq,” “I Want Candy” and of course, “Aaron’s Party.” Read the rest of this entry »

Aaron Carter to Take Leave of Absence from The Fantasticks for Concert Tour

Posted by admin with No Comments

Recording artist and Broadway alum Aaron Carter will take his final bow as love-struck teenager Matt in The Fantasticks at off-Broadway’s Snapple Theater Center on February 17. Carter, who will depart the production for a concert tour, plans to return to the long-running musical at a yet to be determined date after the tour is finished. No replacement for the role of Matt has been announced at this time.

“I’m looking forward to going on tour and working on my music, but The Fantasticks is my home—I will be back,” Carter said in a statement. “Now you all have five weeks to come see me as Matt before I go!”

Featuring a book, music and lyrics by Tom Jones and Harvey Schmidt, The Fantasticks tells the story of two neighboring fathers who put up a wall between their houses to ensure their children fall in love—knowing that children always do what their parents forbid. After the young lovers discover their fathers’ plot, each goes off to experience the world before returning to each other again. The Fantasticks score includes “Try to Remember,” “Soon It’s Gonna Rain” and “They Were You.” Read the rest of this entry »
