After Party with Aaron Carter

Posted by admin with No Comments

At 25, Aaron Carter is on a comeback tour. The little brother of Backstreet Boy Nick, Aaron was a pop star by the time he was 10 years old, worshipped by the tween set for the slick, energetic tunes on his breakthrough album, Aaron’s Party. He hasn’t put out a record in a decade but that didn’t stop him from embarking on an extensive club tour earlier this year. You can catch up with the pop idol on Tuesday, Sept. 17, at Zaphod Beeblebrox when the After Party Tour stops in Ottawa. Tickets are $20 advance, available through [Source]

Aaron Carter Tour, ‘I Want Candy’ Singer Plans to Revive His Career [EXCLUSIVE]

Posted by admin with No Comments

While Aaron Carter’s past choices negatively impacted his once successful career, the singer is now focused on reviving it.

The 26-year-old recently embarked on a three-month North American tour with hopes that people will recognize his commitment to music.

“My mistakes and all the problems in the past are all a part of what made me who I am as an individual today,” he told EnStars during a phone interview on Sept. 5. “I don’t even think I’d be able to endure a tour if I hadn’t hit the bottom.”

The singer started his career at the age of seven and was once a top-selling artist. In 1997, at the age of 10, Carter released his self-titled debut. His following three records — 2000’s Aaron’s Party, 2001’s Oh Aaron and 2002’s Another Earthquake – all went platinum under Jive Records.

Carter’s downward spiral soon followed. Read the rest of this entry »

Aaron Carter announces After Party Tour

Posted by admin with No Comments

It would appear that after 11 years since his last album, Aaron Carter is still partying. So much so that he’s taking the after party on tour.

“I’m Happy to Announce That I Will Be Going on My long Overdue Tour TheAfterPartyTour! Stay Tuned For More Dates That Will Be Added Soon. Here we go!” the 25-year-old child pop star posted on his Facebook page Monday.

If you’re keeping count, that’s four ’90s hit-makers (we may be using that descriptor loosely) – Justin Timberlake, the Backstreet Boys and Destiny’s Child included – making headlines this year. Is it too early to rename 2013 the return of the ’90s?

Carter, younger brother to the Backstreet Boys’ Nick Carter, is best known for his 2000 album Aaron’s Party (Come Get It), which was popular with the Disney Channel/Nickelodeon crowd thanks to singles “How I Beat Shaq,” “I Want Candy” and of course, “Aaron’s Party.” Read the rest of this entry »
